ABOUT
Nice to meet you!
Hi, I’m Emma—I’m so glad you’re here!
Born and raised in Parker, Colorado, I grew up surrounded by both breathtaking views and the buzz of a busy city. Living in between the great Rocky Mountains and Denver has absolutely shaped the way I see the world—I’ve always been drawn to texture, movement, color, and all the little details that make something feel alive. That mix of peace and energy has shaped how I see beauty—and how I approach floral design.
It was clear from an early age that I was born with a creative streak, but for a long time I wasn’t sure where it would lead. I had always known from the time I was a little girl that I wanted to work somewhere within the wedding industry, I just didn’t know how yet. During my senior year of high school, I landed my first internship—an event planning gig!— and that’s where everything changed for me. I was introduced to the medium of flowers and fell in love almost immediately! That summer made something very clear to me: flowers were going to be a part of my life forever.
That fall, I began college that at the University of Kentucky, where I grew to love the state and everything it had to offer. I earned my Bachelor’s in Studio Arts and chose to plant roots right here in Lexington, where Honey Oak was born!
What originally started out as a “what if?” has turned into my dream job, and I couldn’t be more grateful! When I’m not stripping leaves off stems, responding to emails, or designing mockups, you can usually find me listening to one of my many music playlists or calling home to check in with my two wiener dogs!
